Aberdeen January Snow

As has been widely reported, we had a little bit of snow in Aberdeen recently, as I’m writing this there’s a little on the rooftops from a more recent dusting we had, but it is already starting to disappear. While I couldn’t go far I did manage to get off work early enough to wander through Victoria Park.

The view out of my windows never failed to make me smile, especially with the lovely purple sky at both sunset and sunrise, mixed with the beautiful fluffy soft flakes made for a very pretty walk

There were numerous modes of transport being represented including sleds, skis, and a cheeky bus in the back of this photo

Some very clever people managed to build an igloo, although I am sadly too tall to have gone inside it

The fountain in the middle froze entirely solid, with some lovely snow piled on top of to complete the picture. The street lights and sheds were also covered in several inches of snow, making for a very picturesque scene, contrasting heavily against the lovely warm glow of someones flat
