The fabulous Winter Wonder Wander in Duthie Park is an event held annually here in Aberdeen, I managed to secure some tickets to it last year and am finally getting around to looking through some of the pictures I took.
The theme this year was focused around fantasy and films, with Men in Black, and Alice in Wonderland both featuring heavily.
I have always loved the winter gardens, a walk through them consistently brightens my day, just being surrounded by nature, regardless of what’s happening outside whether it’s sunny or pouring rain. They turned the arid garden section into Area 51 with it’s own menacing security guard
Since it happens around Halloween we can’t go without some scary gothic lights as well such as this gargoyle, as well as the standard Loch Ness monster and Spike the Cactus
Another prominent section was Alice in Wonderland and the mad hatters tea party
The final part of the tour was a wonderful little miniature village, including mushroom houses, fairground rides, and even an oil rig (this is Aberdeen after all!)
