EasyJet aircraft at Bristol Airport

Stuck in an Airport. Again… blame EasyJet!

Update and TLDR at bottom.

I find myself yet again in the Red Lion Wetherspoons in Gatwick Airport waiting on a heavily delayed EasyJet flight, I have 4+ hours until my flight leaves at point of writing. Many ups and downs have occurred in the last 2/3 months, but I am finally back on my way to my adopted home of Aberdeen and to start my new job at Aeon. I am still employed and on call for the next week, but had this flight booked to go see No Such Thing As A Fish.

The times ahead are exciting! And I can’t wait to continue sharing my work and progress. I have a few more Frontend Challenges lined up, and will continue my learning, and sharing it NDA’s permitted of course.

In the meantime I’ll share what I’m listening to whilst waiting for 6 hours in a crowded terminal in case you find yourself in the same predicament

Reading/Leeds was last weekend and the sets are all up on BBC Sounds for the next month, Arctic Monkeys, Dave, and Bring Me the Horizon all performed

Update:

It’s now 3:40AM after waiting 6 hours in the terminal at shortly before midnight our flight was ‘delayed’ until 6AM, with the promise of a hotel room we all left the terminal, only to then be told that there were no rooms available, meaning I decided to go for a kip in the Departure area. Can’t say it was comfy but I’ve slept on worse. Now I wait until 6AM for the flight and a proper nights (days?) sleep. Anybody had similar experiences? Leave a comment.

TLDR; EasyJet living up to their cheap name, 8PM became 6AM, am desperately needing coffee.
